Teaching all subject through ICT works better but teaching Science through ICT works in wonder. My third teaching with the help of ICT and first session for the month of September was conducted on 2nd of September, 2019. I taught class VI on the topic
TRANSFER OF POLLEN GRAINS for 50 minutes.
In this session I developed a video tutorial after having the idea while developing video tutorial using Camtecia. Based on the tutorial developed, I showed them the video for three times and then the activities were carried out. To my surprise I found this lesson very interesting and presentable if there were to observe my lesson.
The lesson could have been much better than the one if there was a speaker to make the voice of my video loud enough.In my next lesson with the integration of ICT, I am planning to develop video tutorial lesson and share to them through Voice chat(Vchat) and ask them to learn for the next lesson.
The lesson will be based on what is in the video tutorial.
Wow going through your write-up and clips I felt ICT is a better means of teaching a subject. Very great keep it up.

ReplyDeleteThank you madam Tashi. It was a wonderful session as one can see yourself explaining about the topic infront of students. You feel little hasitent when you appear in the screen and children loves it seeing us explaining from the screen when you are sitting just beside them. They also love more to hear from the screen than what you are teaching in the class. There are my observation la.

ReplyDeleteYes it's works better with video tutorial. The way students learn and participate changes with video tutorial. Its more than power point presentation. Now our school has initated to develop a video tutorial lesson as a teaching learning materials and we going towards ICT tutorial lesson.

There are many video tutorial which can be use to suppliment our teaching topic.I have also used the video tutorial to teach this topic. Children really enjoy the lessonbecause it provides opportunities to make learning more meaningful and enjoyable in terms of teaching same things in new ways. So keep going as there are many rooms for improvement.
Wow....I am glad that you have used the video tutorial to teach your students. I know as much as u enjoyed the teaching, your students might have enjoyed too. I know sometimes we need to add varieties in our teaching approaches becuase children want us to be more smart in with the content knowledge. Keep going sir.

Students love their subject teachers voice, we can bring our wordings to their level and children understands faster with the sound and tones that they hear daily. So thanks for commenting. Please do develop some tutorial videos of your own and see the difference between PPP and your tutorial. It has a difference.

But ya children must have felt little bored with the low volume and great that you have confessed.
Video lessons sometimes becomes very interesting and effective for learning.
ReplyDeleteIts good that you have used video tutorial to teach the lesson however we need to check whether it covers our full topic or not. If not you may have to look for other means to cover up. At the same times your children might have developed curiosity and paid more attention compared to traditional one. Our remote children are not used to it I guess. Seems your lesso Went well...keep up using different ICT in your teaching and learning frequently.
