Reflection on Integration of ICT in teaching Learning Process.
This is my sixth reflection on the integration of ICT in teaching learning process. I taught to twelve students of class six on the topic solar system. Teaching on Solar Eclipse was a difficult one but the teaching but i did it with the help of ICT integration.
After having idea on how to find information from google search and You-tube by students, its now easy to give the concept of Solar Eclipse. As a home work, the students were asked to read the topic Solar Eclipse as their home work and on this topic, they were asked to browse the information as well. They were also asked to find the best link they found was informative to their level and bring it to the next session. I too prepared a simple power point presentation on how Solar Eclipse occur as a additional information to them.
On 18th of October, the the class started with the collection of web link and the sharing of some information they got from the book as well as from the google. When I collected the web link I found out that there were only three different web links because they brought their best web which came to be same for all. I showed the clips on solar Eclipse to them and then did my power point presentation to ad more information.
In the activity part, students were made to show and identify Umbra and Penumbra using the diagram of Solar Eclipse. That was the activity where students could do it easily after having got the information from web as well as from my presentation.But in the future I need to take care with the place for doing my presentation. I need to find a place or make the classroom little dark because it was difficult to see some of the images on the screen. i also need to take or fix a sound system because it wasn't enough to be heard loudly and clearly.
so, teaching Science using ICT integration has a greater impact to both the students and the teachers.

You have let your children to browse the internet and get the information on Solar Eclipse in advance and later you have presented your additional information to them and became your lesson a successful one which clearly shows that integration of ICT has great impact for learners as compared to without integration of ICT.It is very enriching and informative.I can take your idea to my class and apply the same.keep it up!keep exploring more ideas in coming future too.

Wow! In fact its a good lesson designed and taught sir Sonam. Giving hands on practice would certainly provide space for their discovery of learning. And also it's really a difficult work to put into practice sir, but you did it...great work.

ReplyDeleteIt really not necessary to use ict for all lesson and aslo not feasible at all times. Teacher should select relevant topics to integrate ict in lesson. So you have chosen righ topic about solar system. Hope student got clear concept on solar and lunar ellipse. Great initiative la...
