REFLECTION OF MY 2nd TEACHING SCIENCE USING ICT
On 20th August, 2019 in the 2nd period, I taught class VI Science on the topic The flow of Blood in our Body. It was a fifty minutes teaching period where i couldn't feel how the time passed by. The session was taken in the library due to the lack of over head projector in the class. Having only projector fixed in the library made my class to move but it was a wonderful session.
In this session, students were made to watch the animated movies on how blood flow in our body. though we can teach them with out the animated and without the usage of ICT but the fact is students become more eager and grasp the main idea of teaching objectives.
While comparing between the outcome of the past and the present, it had a vast difference between the students out put. Students taught through ICT had built a picture in them as we can find out while doing the activity.
In the Activity part, I showed them just the animated pictures and made students to identify the parts which students could do it easily. Naming the parts and their function was my follow up and each child could do it thus making my day's teaching a productive.
The session ended by making Dorji Nidup to tell in gist about the flow of blood along with the animated pictures which was a wonderful.

ReplyDeleteGreat job sir, I have noticed the change in your presentation while going through your reflection la. How it would be if you could upload MP3 rather than uploading MP4 because some users will NOT available with MP4 software. Anyway good job.

ReplyDeleteYou did a great job once again by projecting your lesson through projector...in fact science subject can be more reliable if we each through ict....which would add more colours to your teaching....keep going!!!
ReplyDeleteDespite many difficuties, you had a productive lesson. Keep moving forward to keep abreast of 21st century era. We can teach such topic using ict in the class because it will allow our children to make their thinking come to reality. As stated in the article, we can show them how blood circulation happens in human being in reality. This will make a deeper connection between what is happening inside our body and to what they are learning. Move forward to ict world.

You have tried using ICT in teaching your lesson, found your students really enjoyed which is a sign of improvement in learning. Please, keep integrating ICT in teaching your lesson, which is must for 21st century learning.

What most of you pointed out really matches with my daily teaching and by keeping Sir Kunzang Dorji's comment now I am trying to keep and convert my materials into MP4. More from that i am also planning to teach my next topic TRANSFER OF POLLENS for class VI Science by converting my Materials in video tutorial. The teaching will take on 2nd of September and I hope it my plan will work better.
